Description
The Vermilion watershed in east-central Illinois is part of the Illinois River basin. With drainage from seven counties, the watershed has a total area of approximately 1,330 square miles. Agriculture is the primary use of land within the watershed. This watershed should not be confused with the Vermilion watershed in eastern Illinois, which is part of the Wabash River basin.
